quick question
there is an option through blogger to make this blog ultra private... as in, the only people who can read it are those who are invited to an accepted reading list. does this sound like something you would all like? and feel more comfortable with in posting about our families? or are you all okay with having it accessible to our parents and any others who may come across it? let me know what you think.

I'm ok with leaving it open to those that want to read it, I know my Mom checks it out every once in a while.
Hi Bi! I could go either way on it. I guess getting my own blog going has caused me to think about it more. I am hoping to avoid last names and other personally identifying information as much as possible. So, maybe if we want to be a little more open on what we post with this site we may need to restrict acess a little. I'm all for having aunts, uncles, cousins, and so on being able to read. If you want to keep it to just cousins to post that is fine with me.
okay, just to clarify, i do love that aunts and uncles are reading the blog. i think that's great! so i would like to allow them that opportunity. if it came down to us make a "private blog" they would still be able to do that, i would just have to add them to an accepted list of readers and they'd have a password to access our blog, make sense?
as for authoring the blog, i really want to keep it to just cousins as authors. by all means if any of our parents have something they'd like to share we are more than able to post it for them! and having said that, we need to rally up some of the other cousins that have yet to appear!
tiffany brings up a valid point regarding last names... i think i have been including last names in the birthday sections to the right, to help us keep straight who everyone belongs to... but i can adjust that if need be!
I think that if we are to keep the conversation open (and birthday and such information available--thanks Bi!) we probably need to make it private, with readership options to people who are approved and/or interested (aunts, uncles, our children, etc.).
