more tanner cousins...

yesterday christian and i attended a j. rueben clark law society bbq in seattle. we were some of the first ones there as young and old families trickled in. half way through the event a girl i hadn't seen since gates hall in 1997 came around the corner with her two kids and husband practically screaming, "ROBIN!?!?!" over and over i am reminded that it is a very small mormon world.

one of the organizers came to the table to introduce himself. he said, "i'm gordon tanner." i was thrown off and told him my maiden name was tanner. so we had a little geneology back and forth and found out who he was through. it was a pretty funny moment to be at a random bbq in the middle of seattle and to be meeting a 4th cousin!
