Christmas Letter
December 2007
Dear cousins,
I don't get to mail out Christmas cards to all of you--so I decided to include our annual Christmas photo and letter in a post.
Merry Christmas to all of you! We send wishes for a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year! We’d like to share some highlights from this past year:
Our beautiful girl Caroline Janeal was born on January 18th. Yep, she is almost a year old! She had the fun distinction of being the 20th grandchild born on both sides of the family—now how do you plan that? She is a little sweetie, is kind of shy around others, learned to crawl at almost 10 months, “talks” up a storm, and is working on growing hair.
Other birthdays: Jessica turned 9 in January and had a chocolate cake with gummy worms. Spencer turned 7 in February and had a race car cake. Amberly turned 11 in March and had a chocolate layer cake. Kaitlyn turned 4 in September and had a train cake.
We enjoyed visits from Tiffany’s mom (when Caroline was born) and from Alan’s parents (at Easter). We had fun family outings to Six Flags and the Texas State Fair. In August we went on our two-week driving vacation to visit family in Arizona and Utah. We had a great time seeing grandparents and family and enjoyed good cousin-time.
Another highlight is that Tiffany finished up her Bachelor of General Studies degree from BYU! At the end of our August trip we were able to attend graduation at BYU. It was a fun occasion to celebrate together as a family. No more homework—yea!
Most of our lives are made up with everyday joys and everyday activities. We’ve been blessed with good health this year. Our summer trip did leave us in stitches, though. Jessica and Kaitlyn both had injuries that required 2 stitches each (Jessica’s finger and Kaitlyn’s forehead). Amberly is getting over a hurt knee right now, but overall we’re doing fine.
The kids stay busy with school and activities. Amberly plays the flute and is in the 6th grade. Jessica enjoys going to 4th grade and Spencer does well in 2nd. Kaitlyn and Caroline are home with mom. The children really enjoy playing with each other and having fun together.
Alan and Tiffany are both doing well. Alan continues his work at Champion Cooler in Denison. He passed the 11 year mark this year. He is serving as the 2nd Councilor in the bishopric. Tiffany is the Enrichment Leader in the Relief Society at church.
This summer Tiffany jumped into the blogging world and started an online journal. It has been a very rewarding way to stay in touch and reconnect with friends. If you haven’t visited the blog yet—you are sure welcome to stop by and say hi. (There is a link on this cousin blog.)
We do send our love and good wishes for a wonderful Christmas.
Love,
Alan, Tiffany, Amberly, Jessica, Spencer, Kaitlyn, and Caroline Langton
