back from hawaii

glad to see so many are signing on! i am getting really excited about this method of keeping on top of everyone! thanks for all of the great pictures you guys have added!!! christian and i just got back from hawaii last night (it was our belated honeymoon, he is on spring break right now) it was a lot of fun!

my favorites were going to pearl harbor and the polynesian cultural center... at pearl harbor i actually found a tanner among the victims... does anyone know anything about that?
the polynesian cultural center is run so well... it gave me a bigger sense of pride for the church. christian and i snuck away from the tour to see the temple and byu-hawaii. another woman there for the temple tour as well. her name is raewyn and she is from new zealand. she is not active but her great-grandmother traveled from new zealand to the hawaii temple when it was brand new so she came to see it. i talked with her for a long time throughout the day! it was a neat experience. i'll have to keep in touch with her! while we were in the samoan part of the polynesian cultural center christian was brought on stage to drink some coconut milk. that same little (but VERY muscular) samoan man was the main attraction at the performance that night... he did all the crazy fire dances. christian apparently has a video of me doing the hula but that will not be going on the blog. i also got to go snorkeling for the first time along a coral reef. it was fun until i came face to face with a silver eel and then i tried to swim as fast as i could backwards!! we are safely back home in seattle now.
